This after-school snack can be ready in a snap and is packed with plant-based protein and gluten-free whole grains to keep your children focused on their homework. Easy to assemble and bursting with flavor, this fun, school-themed snack will make your kids’ day. Better yet, have the ingredients ready to go and watch the little ones make their very own edible calculators!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole-grain gluten-free bread
  • ¼ cup edamame hummus (or any flavor you want)
  • 2 baby carrots, sliced
  • Red and yellow baby bell peppers, cut into small circles
  • String cheese, cut lengthwise into a rectangle to fit across the top of bread

Directions

Lightly toast the bread, then spread with hummus. Place the carrots on top for the calculator buttons. Add the baby bell pepper circles (see image).

Place the string cheese rectangle across the top of the bread.

Add fun bell pepper numbers in the string cheese line (optional).
