Gluten-Free Breakfast Bars

Breakfast bars are a great solution for a nutritional breakfast option on the go. The brewer’s yeast, flaxseed, oatmeal and dried fruit make this a fun recipe to feed to the kiddos.


  • 1½ cups oatmeal
  • ½ cup gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons flaxseed
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 2 packs of brewer’s yeast
  • 1 cup white raisins


Start by mixing together oatmeal, flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon in a large bowl. Add softened butter, vanilla and egg, then mix well. In a separate small bowl, combine flaxseed and water, mix well and let stand for five minutes. Add flaxseed mixture and yeast to mix. Finally, add raisins and spoon out about 1-inch balls of dough on to two lined sheet pans. Flatten slightly and bake 350° F for 14-16 minutes. Enjoy!
