Kids can take drawing a picture of mom to a new level this Mother’s Day with this recipe for gluten-free toast made to look just like her.
Capture mom’s beauty in the simplicity of a wholesome slice of gluten-free bread, a slather of peanut butter or another spread, and healthy cut-up fruits and veggies.
Imagine mom’s delight and surprise when she’s served breakfast in bed or at the kitchen table.
This recipe is so easy to assemble that kids can prepare most of it on their own. An adult might need to help with some of the chopping and cooking for younger children.

Directions
Toast one slice of gluten-free bread. Once it has slightly cooled, place it on a plate and cover it with the spread of your choice.
Add the ingredient you’ve chosen for hair to the top of the bread.
Place the eyes on the toast.
Place the nose directly under the eyes.
Don’t forget the lips! I sliced a mini red bell pepper at the tip and sliced it in half to look like two lips.
Finish off your work of art by creating shoulders with a half slice of the end piece (heel) of bread.
