Good beverages are just as important as great sides. When trying to avoid sugar or gluten, beer, soda and other popular beverages are not an option. Rather than getting stuck with water or another boring drink, why not serve something everyone will love? The combination of sweet citrus, sour cranberry and spicy ginger plays well with the flavors of the season. If your guests are the party type, offer some flavored vodka or rum to spike it up a notch.
- 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
- Juice from 4 large oranges
- 1 liter seltzer
- 3 cups ice
- 1/2 cup frozen cranberries
In a large pitcher, combine ginger and juice of the oranges, being careful to remove all seeds. Slowly add seltzer and mix gently. Add ice cubes and frozen cranberries to 6 glasses, fill with spritzer and serve.
